This is not a hunt where we will be gathering ramps. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience a rare and disappearing ecosystem that is typically kept hidden and private. We are hosting guided group ecotourism day trips to my ramp patch in Floyd County, Virginia.
$200 per person includes 2 hours on the patch with a talk discussing how rare this ecosystem has become and steps we’re taking such as these informational tours earning income from the patch without picking it out. A box lunch is included with a vegan option available upon request.
There will be an opportunity for everybody to purchase ramps at the end of the tour with all of the proceeds going to the landowner along with a portion of the proceeds collected.
There is only space for 20 participants.The event will take place on Sunday, March 29, 2026. We may schedule a second event if this one fills up quickly.
Everyone will meet at a location in Floyd County, Virginia, to be determined later at 10 AM and then shuttled up to the site. (you will have all of the information before the hunt)This is a great opportunity to stay at a bed-and-breakfast in the mountains and meet early Sunday morning for the event!
